We have a complete “spore to fruit” mushroom nano-farm here at the Mushroom Spot. It is an excellent set up for teaching mushroom cultivation. Brandon will walk you step-by-step through the process starting with mushroom culturing in the lab, preparing substrates, to guiding colonization and fruiting, all of which is fun and fascinating!
This workshop will take you step by step through the process of growing mushrooms from the basics to advanced methods with hands on experience and techniques. Make petri dishes, liquid cultures, tissue samples, germination, grains, fruiting conditions …. are among many of the topics to be discussed and demonstrated.
This course will start at 9AM and end at 4PM. There will be a short break around lunchtime, and a modest mushroom-inspired vegan lunch will be served.
