Property ID walks

You can have one of our certified mushroom identification guides come to your property to determine what species of fungus/mushroom may be growing there. We will observe the  layout of your property and its trees and other flora to determine which species of mushrooms, even if not fruiting at the time, may be found in this sort of habitat. We like to schedule these ID walks when conditions are prime for finding mushrooms in their fruiting stage, but we will happily walk your property any time of year. We can also give advice as to where to cultivate mushrooms on logs or in wood chip/straw beds.

We charge $75/hr for Property ID walks. The minimum is one hour, but the time it takes to survey the fungi on your property will vary. We will travel up to 50 miles from The Mushroom Spot at no additional charge. Farther travel is possible but may incur an additional fee.
